Slim Thug-Houston: The Mixtape

Slim Thug literally has Houston on his back so it's only right to name this mixtape from the city he represents and bleeds. Slim Thug is here to stay. His style never gets old, he's entertaining on twitter, and he puts on for his city through his songs. Definitely some tracks on here that just bump and if you have those speakers that are meant for bumping then please make it happen. Features from Paul Wall, Killa Kyelon, Chamillionaire, and more to make this mixtape a success.

Houston Ft. Paul Wall, Z-Ro, & Chamillionaire

Creepin' Ft. Paull Wall, & Bun B

Can't Stop Ft. Dre Day & Currensy

Favorite Bitch

Asher Roth-Pabst & Jazz (Mixtape)

If you didn't know, Asher Roth is now signed to Def Jam. This mixtape serves as his first project under Def Jam and definitely does not disappoint. Now I'll be honest I thought this mixtape was going to be trash. I'm not a big Asher Roth fan but he definitely surprised me on this mixtape with the production and lyrics. I would definitely suggest to you that you listen to a few tracks and then give it a download.

In The Kitchen Prod. Chuck Inglish

Useless Ft. Pac Div (Prod. Blended Babies)

Common Knowledge Prod. Blended Babies

Charlie Chaplin feat. Phil Ade', GLC, Thurz (Prod. Blended Babies)

Young Chris-Young Christmas (MIxtape)

Make you a Believer

Nelly-O.E.MO (Mixtape)

I'm definitely shocked that I liked this mixtape. Nelly has not been relevant in my mind for a long time. Well now he's back on his Hip Hop shit again. Rapping over people's verses again and making pretty good music. It's not going to blow you away but it is a reintroduction to the man that once ran Hip Hop for a while. Check it out.

Hello Goodbye

Country A$$ Nigga feat T.I. & 2 Chainz

Pimp C feat St. Lunatics

You Gone Learn Today

Bobby V-Vitamin V (R&B MIxtape)

Bobby V remains consistent in giving us R&B music to smash to. You can definitely expect to hear some baby making music, freaky music, and a couple songs that are for the club scene. Give it a listen and check it out.

Drop It (Ft. Meek Millz & 2 Chainz)

When Im Up In It

Naked

5 Star

Fabolous-There Is No Competition: Death Comes In 3's (Mixtape)

The third edition of the There Is No Competition series is here. It may not be his best work in terms of the series but he definitely has punchlines for days. In this mixtape he takes some shots at Plaxico, rhymes like Chocolate Drop aka Kevin Hart, and goes at someone similar to Drake. Check it out.

You Dont Know Bout It ft Meek Mill

Spend It ft Trey Songz

50 Cent -Put Your Hands Up (Music Video)

This was a very entertaining video. This was definitely one of the standout songs off of 50 Cent's mixtape but the video just brings everything together. 50 Cent hosts a party in his condo and regular shit happens like cops being called, multiple women wanting him, and more. Check it out.

Phil Ade Ft. Fat Trel-Where You From

Phil Ade is a beast. Can't stress that enough.

Where You From

Bei Maejor Ft. Wale, Trey Songz, T-Pain & J.Cole-Trouble Remix

A good look for Bei Maejor here. He keeps winning and I hope he continues to win in 2012.

Trouble Remix

Uncle Murda-Take It Off

Uncle Murda with a sort of radio friendly track. No body counts here. No gun slinging. No drug dealing.

Take It Off

Juvenile Ft. Mannie Fresh-Sweet Love

Juve and Mannie team up for a short song. Keeping the beats fresh though.

Sweet Love

Cory Gunz Ft. Ryan Leslie-Loco

One of the first songs from Cory that sounds like a real radio hit. No fast rapping, R&B feature, and great beat. We'll see what happens.

Loco

Gucci Mane Ft. Yo Gotti-In Love With A White Girl

Cocaine? Or actually white girls?

In Love With A White Girl

Also enjoy this extra track from Gucci.

North Pole

DJ Kay Slay Ft. Ace Hood, Gunplay & Torch-Got Damn

The hook will become repetitive and maybe annoying once you hear it but I fuck with Gunplay. Let's go!

Got Damn

Mario-Go First Perfect Gentleman

Mario sings about how to be a perfect gentleman. Go first!

Go First Perfect Gentleman

Styles P-Gift Wrapped

It may be Christmas but according to Styles it's still hoodie season. Watch the fuck out.

Gift Wrapped

Sean Kingston Ft. Nicki Minaj-Born To Be Wild

I don't know how Sean gets to make these tracks with Ms. Minaj. Definitely something for the radio that might be catchy after 1,000 spins.

Born To Be Wild

Frank Ocean-4 Tears

Not a whole song from Mr. Ocean but it's something that you definitely need.

4 Tears

French Montana, Juicy J & Project Pat-Cocaine Mafia (Mixtape)

French Montana, Juicy J & Project Pat all got together to provided the streets with some heat. Ignorant heat with banging beats and crazy wordplay but definitely some heat. I was a little skeptical about this tape just because I didn't really see how they would carry a whole mixtape but it came along well.

All She Wanted Is Money

Weed And Hennessy

Choppa Choppa Down

Straight Cash

Gums - Dexter Rap (Dark Passenger)

Dark Passenger can be most easily described as a hip hop rendition of the introduction to the popular Showtime series Dexter. Sampling the original introduction Gums and company were able to create a series of tight shots even the casual fan would be able to recognize. Whether a Dexter enthusiast or just a casual hip hop fan I believe this video/song will be enjoyed by both alike

Antoniette Costa, Kevin "K.O." Olusola and Tara Kamangar-Stranded (Music Video)

Antoniette Costa, Kevin Olusola & Tara Kamangar have released the new video for their collaborative track “Stranded” today. It’s soul, hip-hop and classical music rolled into one unique track full of passion. With a goal of storytelling through musical performance, the three are coming from diverse backgrounds with a common creative ambition.

LoveRance Ft. 50 Cent-Up (Beat The P**** Up) (Music Video)

Don't ask me who LoveRance is because I don't know. But what I do know is that this song is pretty dope and the reason I even listened to it and saw the video was because of 50 Cent.

Nelly Ft. 2 Chainz & T.I. – Country Ass Nigga (Music Video)

This could be Nelly's best song in the last whatever couple of years since Country Grammar. I mean it features 2 Chainz and Clifford and the beat is dope as hell.

Fat Joe Ft. Chris Brown-Another Round (Music Video)

Nice song right here. Don't you be holding back your love. Chris Brown definitely makes this sound dope as hell.

Travis Porter Shows The Real Meaning Of Christmas

We adopted 3 families and gave away thousands of toys to the church. We also donated over 1,000 lbs of canned goods to the atlanta food bank.

Definitely a good look. With all the ass shaking music they make it's good to see a group give back to its community.

T.I. Ft. Rick Ross-I'm Flexin Remix

Clifford and Ricky Ross get together for the remix. May not be official but that's okay.

I'm Flexin Remix

Also check out the remix with Twista on it.

I'm Flexin Remix w/ Twista

Kirko Bangz-Daddy

Kirko spits some real stuff here.

Daddy

J'Nan Ft. GLC & Kanye West-You Don't Know

The reason you are probably listening to this track is because of Kanye West. It definitely is the reason why I'm listening to it so no worries. Great sounding track.

You Don't Know

David Banner Ft. 2 Chainz & ASAP Rocky-Yao Ming

This came out and had Lil Wayne on it. I guess he got swapped with ASAP, who did pretty well with his part. But you see that 2 Chainz feature.

Yao Ming

Bei Maejor-The Truth

The truth is that your girl really loves me. Oh boy. Definitely a great track and a great story being told.

The Truth

Also check out this other track he has entitled "Sexy Sexy (Can I Touch It)"

Sexy Sexy (Can I Touch It)

Rihanna Ft. Jay Z & Rick Ross-Talk That Talk Remix

It may be unofficial but Ricky Ross decided to jump on it. I'm not mad at him.

Talk That Talk Remix

Bow Wow talks about the kind of girl that he has.

My Girl

XV Ft. Betty Trouble-Learn To Fly

XV keeps coming with hits and more hits. Definitely something you should jam to. Check it out.

Learn To Fly

Upset Santa (Funny Picture)

Shit got real.

Ryan Leslie-Good Girl (Music Video)

Ryan Leslie is putting out videos to go along with his new music. I'd like to see more of this dude in 2012. That's all.

Smack/URL Presents Arsonal Vs. Calicoe (Rap Battle)

If you're still interested in rap lyrical battles with spitten writtens then check this out. Calicoe represents Detroit and Arsonal represents Newark, NJ. It's your typical freestyle with amazing punchlines so check it out.

Luke James-#Luke (R&B Mixtape)

Luke James is that new R&B dude on the block. After I heard his song "I Want You" and peeped his video, I decided that he was going to make it big sooner than later. He's currently opening for Robin Thicke and just released his mixtape. It definitely has some great R&B joints on there and a snippet of what could be his best song ever. Check out the tracks and then the mixtape.

Guilty Pleasure

The Weeknd-Echoes Of Silence (R&B Mixtape)

Ladies and gentlemen, this is the first Weeknd mixtape that I've enjoyed. I did't enjoy it that much that I thought he was the next best thing since sliced bread, but I actually understood some of his lyrics this time. Although the chanting is still here it's a good 9-track mixtape. I want to hear him live because I think his voice is being distorted but who am I to make that claim. Check out some tracks then enjoy the mixtape. Also, after contributing to Drake's album I decided to give this man more of a chance.
