When Allen Stone sings jaws drop and faces light up. We were excited to learn he had a couple hours to burn before his sold out gig at the Echo. Just enough time to drop by Knocksville and murder this performance of "Contact High".
Be sure to check out the Washington native's self-titled sophomore album. It dropped in October and it's really...fucking...good.
WE TRIPPY MANE!! Juicy J is back with DJ Scream to present us the latest mixtape. If you are not on the Juicy J train then it's okay. If you'r expecting lyricism then no, you won't find it here. But if you want banging beats, stupid fruity lyrics, and more then check it out. Juicy J is now signed to Taylor Gang and if you enjoyed his previous mixtape then you will like this.

Time after time on this blog I'm always posting videos and other content from Wax because he's dope. Before anyone else started riding his fame train I'm proud to say I found him randomly on Youtube. Anyways, he's back with his latest mixtape Eviction Notice. Hip hop emcee that's from the DMV area but now resides in Cali. He definitely has the witty and stand-out punchlines but he also has this story telling capability that many artists don't have. Wax is that dude. Check out some tracks then download the tape. Enjoy.

It's All Love

I'm slowly shaking my head at this because I cannot blame the young man for trying to impress this girl. Here is what happened. He was going to do this flip and then ask her out to to a dance or formal or whatever. But he failed and bust his head open. And the only person to blame is the girl. Why? Because last week she probably was like "I'm in to guys who can do flips and I would love for someone to do a flip and ask me out." Boom. He heard it and now he's in the hospital all bandaged up. I sympathize with dude because this is what all men do when trying to impress girls whether it's big or small. At least he's a good listener.

Ryan Leslie gives us the video for this wonderful track that basically states that we all want to believe in a beautiful lie. Ryan Leslie does his thing with this rapping. Hopefully it doesn't become too addicting.
Like I tweeted yesterday, I don't know Ketchy Shuby is but I'm liking what I'm hearing. Is it a group? Is it one guy? I actually don't know but I will find out sooner than later. In the meantime, check out this video and song entitled "Pretty." It's a deep song. Rock infused soul. Just peep it and you will understand.
Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Maya Azucena premieres the video for the single “Cry Love” today...the clip conveys the song’s socially consciousness themes and Maya’s sensitivity towards the many horrible misdeeds there are in this world. The chorus echoes, “If Justice had wings, She would sing, Cry Love in everything.”
Revalation, brings you a New Freestyle over Lil Wayne's popular "Carter IV" instrumental "Megaman" bringing that EMS flare the only way he knows how. If you like non-stop rhyming, metaphors and punchlines, then be sure to give this a spin. The freestyle serves as a precursor to Revalation's "The Goods EP" coming early next year!

To everyone's surprise the mixtape does not feature Cameron Giles. No beef. They just need some separation sometimes. Check it out. Started out slow but definitely picked up after a couple tracks.

Me & You (This Christmas)
Trust me you don't know who Leslie David Baker is but if you watch The Office you know Leslie as Stanley. The black guy on The Office who does nothing but complain about his job, do crossword puzzles, and makes crude jokes at times. Well he teamed up with this group N.U.M to make this hilarious, pop video for this song. It's absolutely amazing that I just saw this.
Phil Ade gives us some visuals for the single off his mixtape entitled A Different World that I have not even listened to. I probably was knee deep in work since it did drop in August. Anyways, good song and good video. Check it out.
Allen Stone performs to a sold out crowd at SOBs in NYC. Presented by Noizy Cricket!!
I was at this show and if you know what I look like then you'll see me for a little. Shouts out to the homie Josh for the footage.
Did you know that Robin Thicke's album was coming out on December 6? Like next week? Well I kinda knew but I was not putting pieces together. Anyways, Paula Patton's husband has snippets of each song in his album in this twitvid. Just press play and get a quick preview of what's in store for his release.

Lupe Fiasco dropped this gem of a mixtape on Thanksgiving or right around the time of it. Since many things were going on at the time I didn't really take the time to listen until today. Oh boy! Conscious rap at its finest. It always seems like his mixtapes are significantly better than his albums. Oh well. I mean the tracks speak for itself but when you do listen make sure to listen to the lyrics as well. We're not looking for hot beats and party tracks here. Enjoy.
Joaquin Phoenix ft. Lil Ronnie
Cassidy is getting into mixtape mode with his recent singles that have hit the net. Check this out because it's one of his most promising tracks. All he needs is one club hit to change his whole course. He's done it before and he can do it again.
Watcha Gonna Do
Look I'll be honest. The reason why I even listened to this song is because 2 Chainz was on it. Then the beat was kinda dope and supposedly King Louie has been making noise in Chicago so check it out.
Too Cool Remix
So Juicy J announce today that he's signed to Wiz Khalifa's Taylor Gang. Just in time for his mixtape that is coming out tomorrow. So when you see more collabos just know it's Taylor Gang! She rolling weed and she don't even smoke.
Stoner's Night Pt. 2
Anthony Hamilton is getting ready to release his album on December 13th entitled Back To Love. In this video he is trying to get away from the sexy police detective that is trying to catch him stealing art. Check it out because it's a good R&B song and it's a good video that actually has a story line.
I have no other words for this video other than "What a fucking catch!!!" I didn't even believe it until I saw it three times. Even the announcer thought nothing of it until he caught that reply. Amazing.
You ever have a girlfriend that's just so thirsty. Like she texts you good morning before you even saw the sun, she buys you playstion 3's, and more? Well check this out. (That was all sarcasm btw)

I will tell you exactly what he told which was just listen and I think you'll fuck with it. Enjoy the 4 tracks and then there's a link for the project. Enjoy!

This was out here a week ago but it was definitely too early for me to get into this. Now that Turkey Day is over, I'm ready. What does he want for Xmas? A girl. I ain't mad at him.
She's All I Want For Christmas
Girlfriend's Best Friend
I'm sorry to break it to you all but long distance relationships have officially died. You know that whole bullshit quote that says "absence makes the heart grow fonder" well it's just a bunch of crap. Not only does absence make your partner go officially crazy but it also makes them clinically insane, jealous, needy, and unfaithful. I mean just peep the word absence! Remember when your teacher from middle school used to be absent for the day and you used to act up in class and throw paper planes, write notes to people, and then when she showed up the next day you were all behaving like A+ students? Yeah that's what your partner is doing during those absent moments.
Okay let me start with the fact that I asked a question on Twitter today that made my @'s go through the roof. The question was: Do people still do long distance relationships? Here are some of the replies I got:
i know not a single nigra who can successfully do that shyt indefinitely
that shit is fucking impossible
that shit goes against human nature
it truly depends on the person and their dedication. It can work though but it definitely calls for WORK
yeah, it's mad difficult though.
Yeah I put a couple of the replies who said it was a lot of work and tough but relationships should not be a second or third job. I shouldn't have to say "Damn this is tough" every single day when I'm dealing with debt, loans, homeless men on the number 2 train showing me their penises, and more. So that's my little blurb to those folks.
But seriously, the reason why I say these types of relationships are dying is because people are just not ready for the trials and tribulations that distance adds on to the relationship. A relationship itself is its own entity and distance comes along like "Bitch I'mma fuck this up." Yes there all these means of communicating via the internets, phone boning, video chat, facebook, emails but it's not worth it. Why go all through that when you can definitely find something better on the homestand. And please don't tell me that you cannot find better because although there are a whole bunch of snakes, and assholes and players and hoes, on the opposite side you have good girls and guys who, if given a chance, can turn your whole world upside down, in a good way. Why go all through that when a partner is cheating or lying to you and you're the last one to know it. Yes you may have all those kinds of problems with the man/woman on the homestand that is closer to you but the distance just magnifies that. Now I'll get soft on you and say that nothing feels better than the warmth of coming home from a long day of work and just getting a hug and kiss from your partner. Being waited on because of those long hours you just put in. Instead you have to hear, over the phone, how stressful work was and offer good advice that won't be taken. Soon enough someone will find that warmth somewhere else and it's not because there was a lack of communication but someone on the homestand is there.
I know a lot of people doing this long distance relationship thing and I just say good luck. No hate or shade being thrown but I've seen mature men and women make all kinds of immature, crazy decisions without their man or woman to see them. Is it because of the distance or is it the nature of whore? I say both but distance plays a larger role.
What's your take on it? Are long distance relationships dead? Are they worth it? Do you really have to find the person who will make you work through it? Comment and speak on it!
BARS! REAL RAP RAW! T-Pain goes up against Chocolate Drop in this hilarious rap battle. I cried laughing when he interrupted T-Pain as he was starting to rhyme. Hilarious!
Use one of these excuses when your girlfriend gets your phone and watch it get you out of trouble. We have all been in some type of situation when our significant other may peep through our phone after leaving it somewhere by accident. I have never had any problem with anyone looking through my phone but this is pretty funny. My favorite excuses were to just leave, medical condition, and God. Amazing.
