The state of Georgia plans to execute Troy Davis on September 21, 2011. There is still serious doubt as to Troy Davis' guilt, and by putting him to death Georgia runs the risk of killing an innocent man. Please call on the board to save Troy Davis' life.


The fact is, no physical evidence connected Davis to the murder. Seven of the original nine witnesses have recanted, with many saying their testimony was a result of law enforcement pressure. Of the remaining witnesses, one is highly suspect and the other could be the actual culprit in the officer's murder.


Now, despite these and other facts, the state of Georgia has taken the final steps toward Davis' execution -- and only the Georgia Board of Pardons and Parole stands between Davis and the lethal injection chamber.



Unfortunately Troy Davis' execution was upheld.

Animated Dexter Intro

The poster series that I created for Dexter was inspired by mid-century modern design and particularly the work of Saul Bass -- who developed both static graphics as well as animated title sequences. I collaborated with my friends at Fashion Buddha to create an alternative title sequence for Dexter using the artwork that I developed for the posters. This is what I imagine the Dexter title sequence might look like if the show had aired in the 60′s

How I Lost A Female Friend (Article)

So I thought that since I was single I would stop having issues with females. That included friends and family as well but I learned a couple weeks ago that this was not the case. One of my "close" female friends decided to end our friendship. I put close in quotation marks because I really can't speak for her and what she thought our friendship was like but all these thoughts are from me. So of course you're all wondering how the fuck can one end a friendship so let me explain. 

So it all started in the park. Haha..No I'm just kidding. I have to make a name for this girl so let's just call her Mary. Mary lives in NYC and after mass messaging some folks about one of my gatherings I was told that Mary was in NYC and that I should invite her. Cool. No problem. Mary is a cool girl, has a boyfriend (not in NYC) and just a good person. After this gathering I started to hang out and talk with Mary more often because she was straight up a good friend. Had all the qualities of a good friend, easy to confide in her, and someone that I genuinely cared for (I sound softer than tissue paper right now) When she brought me lasagna one day I was told by a good friend of mine that no regular woman just brings food for a regular man. I ignored his opinion about the situation. I sat there saying "She has a boyfriend and I have a girlfriend. No worries." When I was sick I had some cupcakes she made in the crib that became the only food I was eating. Of course that had my girlfriend at the time asking questions about our friendship. I told her she had nothing to worry about and Mary was my homegirl. Now I'll be straight up with all of you, when I have a girlfriend I don't recognize clues that someone may like me or is attracted to me or whatever. I just focus on mine and keep it moving. 

So at one point Mary and I did something that good friends are not supposed to do. Then that something turned into a couple more times until it stopped after awkward ass conversations. By this time I was single already but Mary still had a boyfriend. Yikes. After more awkward conversations and one real ass conversation it seemed that we were going to continue our friendship. As we should because shit happens, we talked, and we moved on. She did try to avoid hanging out with me for long periods of time. In her mind drinking with me always lead to her making bad decisions (it's fun to do bad things...word to Latarian) But this was a close friend of mine. For her birthday I got her a great gift, in my opinion, that represented what close friends are supposed to do. I decided not to attend her birthday festivities and you'll understand why in a second. Although I got a text that night that simply read "Where you at?" during her birthday gathering (I was at the movies) Then around the beginning of this month I realized she was no longer my friend. 

I'm an Internet Goon. I know when people stop following me on twitter, I know when a person stops chatting me up, and I'm just very observant of what's happening around me. I get unfollowed all the time but I don't expect for my close friends to unfollow me because those are my peoples. Mary unfollowed me. I immediately knew what happened. She told her boyfriend. SMH. I went to go talk to her on Gchat but she wasn't there. Damn. Getting blocked out here. So when I wrote a text message and received a horrible ass reply, I became upset. Not upset that I was not her friend anymore but who in the hell says that because two people didn't talk for like two weeks it was an organic end to a friendship? I haven't spoken to a lot of people in like months but we still happen to be friends. Yes her reasoning was bullshit but all she had to do was keep it funky with me. As I told her and as I told many of her friends and my friends, if Mary came up to me and said "Hey we can't be friends anymore because I told my boyfriend about you, he runs my life and that's where I'm at" then I would have been fine. I feel that's something that I deserved instead of sneaky shit. Now you understand why I didn't attend the birthday festivities? I would have met the boyfriend knowing that Mary was one day going to spill the beans and then I would have some more confrontation because dudes are wild these days. 

I'll conclude with the fact that Mary is cool. What she did was bullshit and unexpected but I won't sit here and say whatever impact she had on me wasn't great. Those are the type of friends that anyone needs in their life and they should try to keep them close. If you got something to say in the comments please share.
