Either the first single off his album or in preparation for a mixtape. It really doesn't matter because this is pretty tough. Definitely will have you saying My God.
Who cares about Valentines Day? I replace that with Singles Awareness Day (S.A.D.), and it's kicking off early this time around. Every year, I drop a mix compilation tape to accompany this holiday that seems to neglect the singe folk. Not to say that if you're boo'd up that you won't love this, but still...I'm just tryna raise the awareness out there!
The mix is pretty crazy this year. 31 songs about everything that has to do with love. Some happy, some sad, some slow, some upbeat...and you never know...you may be on it. Spread it on your various social networks (Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, shoot...even e-mail) if you'd like to! And if you're one of those skeptics who doesn't really like downloading new stuff, look at the attached album art. I bet you'll wanna download after you see it.
Last night the Lakers came into town and finished off the Knicks behind Kobe's performance. But the highlight of the night went to Shannon on an alley oop from Steve Blake.
In honor of Black History Month, Melanie Fiona decided to tribute one of her favorite legendary singers. Check her out singing her version of Sam Cooke's "I Belong to Your Heart".
HOLY SHIT!! I haven't laughed that hard since I saw another model fall on the runway like that. Just click play and you'll understand what I'm talking about.
For the first time I'm in love, and what I want to tell everybody! Nice song that's been out for a while but with Valentine's day right around the corner, the video is out.
Shwayze and Cisco Adler, the alternative rap-rock duo that brought you the feel good hits “Buzzin'” and “Corona and Lime,” are back with a free 6 song mini-album The W’s. The two know that something magical happens when they get in the studio together and The W's is a perfect example of this: easy breezy vibes influenced by weed and women make for the perfect soundtrack to your California day dreams. I listened and felt so at ease when I was done. Check it out. Here are a few tracks.
Nick Pratt returns with a solid second EP, “The New Cool”. Nick focused on showing his growth as an individual and artist while maintaining his illustrious bravado. Here are my favorites off the EP.
Let's keep the random thoughts going because I'm actually excited about this. Let's get right to it.
Everyone has dreams unless you are a vampire or do not have the capacity to dream. I always have dreams but then at the last moment I always forget what it was about. It makes me so upset because it comes up again as if it is something that actually happened. Now I'm sitting there with the confused face trying to gather my thoughts about whether it was fake or real. I have time for a lot of things but deciphering my dream isn't on that list.
I had a dream and it was very disturbing because of what the fuck was going on. It's not a long ass dream either. It's a random occurrence of events and I so happen to piece them together. Anyways, I had a dream and I think it was supposed to take place at my college but then I ended up on the lawn on my high school campus. A couple of my college friends, including Modi and Marcel, were there. Didn't make sense that my college friends were on the front lawn at my high school. Two young males tried to hook up a radio on the grass. They left and it's daylight outside. The radio catches on fire and I'm like "WTF!!" Then all of a sudden it's dark as shit. Pitch black outside and everything is catching on fire. Grass, buildings, you name it. Of course I started running with my friends. They go a different route and I swear one of them throws up the deuce sign. So I'm running while the fire is like right there chasing me. Nothing but flames. Then I see some random white girl and I think I ask her for help but she dips. I literally thought I was going to catch on fire. Then I woke up.
I was pissed at the dream. Pissed I didn't get away. I'm not looking for any interpretation. I'm just sharing. I don't believe that interpreting a dream is conducive to understanding the real world we live in. All I know is that I don't like fire and I will bitch up if I ever was in one.
Last thing I'll say is that the heat was blasting in my damn room and I blame that for having that kind of dream. You ever have wild, crazy dreams that don't include the wet ones? Share your thoughts. Speak on it!
Oh man..She kills this song! I had some rotten ass version before and I was waiting for the nice one to come out and it's here. I was already in love with the song and now she came to raise it up a notch. Respect. Fool For You Remix
As of December 2010, nearly a third (31%) of all mobile consumers in the United States owned smartphones, cellphones with app-based, web-enabled operating systems. But smartphone penetration is even higher among mobile users who are part of ethnic and racial minorities in the U.S. – namely Asian/Pacific Islanders (45%), Hispanics (45%) and African-Americans (33%), populations that also tend to skew younger. Meanwhile, only 27 percent of White mobile users reported owning a smartphone.
I had a hard time following the commercials but I knew they would be all over the net. I will take you through my favorites but if you don't want to sit down through that just go to http://www.youtube.com/adblitz and check them all out.
So T-Pain went on a big rant today saying he's going to leak his own album because of hackers and label executives and what not. I think that just means he has to step it up. These two songs aren't bad. The first is more slow and serious. Next with Chris Brown has a little more pop to it.
So because of the lack of articles you get from me on a monthly basis I'm going to start writing these random thoughts. It's a pretty outstanding addition since I came up with this idea while dining alone. If you didn't know, most of my article ideas are thought up when I'm in the toilet (number 2 and above of course) or taking a shower or when I'm alone. I'm sure you wouldn't be surprised that I'm writing this post on my blackberry while at a restaurant. Like I was literally ordering a Mexican sundae while I typed that. Anyways. On with the random thought. Maybe ill think of a cooler name for this series.
Would you ever dine alone at a restaurant? Is it something you won't do because people will view you as a loser or your pride isn't big enough to say "table for just one please." I'm pretty sure that while I was in high school and college I started dining by myself because I was tired of always having to make friends with the person I was eating with or look for someone you barely knew just so you can chew food together. Sometimes I just want to eat without saying shit to anyone, listen to my music, and zone the fuck out. I'm out of college now so ill go to a restaurant and say "table for one please."
I'm here by myself with no worries. Sure people can still contact me via phone and I have my iPod out but really I just used this time to think. For one hour I'm able to smile to yourself, think thoughts, and the only distraction is the waitress explaining the dessert menu with her hard to understand accent. No diss to my waitress. She was very nice.
On other occasions you can just spend this time with yourself. The world is so caught up with spending time with others, always thinking of others, when you barely have time to yourself.
What do you think? Do I just sound like a loner (Cudi) or is this something that you tend to do as well? Speak on it because my sundae just came and it looks delicious.
Props to Yardie for this. I was pretty content with the halftime show since the previous ones have all sucked in my opinion. Usher and Slash were there for the ride as well.
This video is very smooth. I could picture myself a little buzzed from the alcohol and just jamming and getting it like Mr. Combs is at certain points in this video. Just see for yourself.
50 Cent making all these songs either preparing for his album or to make Sleek more well known. At any point, he's winning. The flow on this is kinda nice. You'll definitely be like..Curtis is that you?
Damn did he really have to put the video out for the song right now? Shit. Anyways, this is a great video for the single that was off his latest mixtape. One of the favorites off of it.
Those raised in the '80s remember the force of nature that was Bo Jackson, so with nation's focus currently on the gridiron L.A. based producer/rapper Shane Eli decided there would be no better time to unleash his tribute to the man who knew it all. From a classic Tribe Called Quest sample to the first Patrick Roy reference in hip-hop history, "Bo Jackson" hits harder than Lawrence Taylor on a blind side blitz.
June G.'s latest track "A Sucka Nigga" which is a Tribe Called Quest Remix. This will be on his "Back 2 Da Hip Hop" Mixtape dropping late February. This joint is pretty nice.
