Okay people...listen up, this is the first time that I've had someone else write an entry on this blog...Just trying to switch it up, ya dig? So today's writer is S. Dot a.k.a Smooth Criminal...One of my friends here at BC...I told her to pick a name and she came up with those two wack ones so that's her fault...haha...But her article is about men opening up...So sit back and read what she wrote:

This is definitely not an article that Mr. Internet Goon would write himself. Why? Because it is about his kind, his species, exactly what he is. An African American man.



Now, before you men jump down my throat and accuse me of “bashing or dogging yall”, I will tell you this, I love my black men and there is no other like you. Your multiple shades and shapes, your strength, courage and entire persona is one of the most attractive and appealing to me. However, no one is perfect and it is okay to bring surface and analyze our imperfections.


While we are all human and have our many issues, I find that men, in general, especially the black man, have the hardest time with. Honesty. I’m not talking about the “who, what where, when, why and how” honesty, because as females, we all know they stumble, stutter and trip over those simple question. (Smile). I’m talking about the honesty dealing with their emotions; whether it is that the black man is sad, happy, depressed, frustrated, excited or scared he must always keep it cool, calm and collective. If you or I were to see them sweat, to be human and naturally express themselves, it would be as if the whole world is coming to an end.



When has it became acceptable and expected that a man is suppose to be emotionally detached? Why is it that this hard exterior is being condoned with its nonchalant attitude and “chill” demeanor? Are you telling me my black men that you feel nothing, absolutely nothing?


For the females that read this, curse me if I’m lying and males, don’t deny what you know is the truth. However, we all have the right to agree to disagree, but this is real. Well this is what I’ve come up with…



Due to discrimination, oppression and racism, the African American man has been scared for life. Since being stolen from our homeland and stripped of our unalienable rights, they have developed this attitude to continuously having to prove themselves. From bringing in the desired amount of cotton for a day work for “massa” to who can get the most money, flyest gear and to portray the toughest outside appearance. How is it remotely possible to still have this mentality to prove in our black men when slavery has been diminished 400 years ago? And how will we get rid of it?



In the song “Teach Me” by Musiq Soulchild, he expresses his genuine desire to be taught and actually learn how to love and get his emotions involved. It is a beautiful song and a great example of what a man should exemplify that genuine desire to learn if he doesn’t already know how to get his emotions involved. Now, I know you men who are reading this may see this song as slow, feminine and sappy, but really, haven’t you ever heard of a little vulnerability?



On an ending note, as a female, I’m telling and advising my black man that, yes, females do find the hard exterior and demeanor attractive, but when we dig deep to your heart and soul, we don’t want to find cold ice, we want a warm flowing streams; something we can relate to. Do that for us ladies please!

Goodness....I can already feel the wrath of all the black women that will read this...Oh well...I guess that's the reason I write...So wassup yall, I'm back...I haven't written an article in a long time...I've been busy, trying to get my life together and such...Stuff like that...Also I was supposed to have someone else write an article but they're moving slower than a running turtle so I can't wait on them...But as you can see from the title and the picture, I'm ready to GO IN!!! Let's get this party started...

Yup...I'm going to be stereotypical and say that all black women are angry...There are a few exceptions like the ones in my family (haha...gotta say that) but most of the times, if she's a black woman, then she's angry most of the time...Now I just want to add that I'm trying to understand these women because I think everyone should be patient with them, but there's only so much I can take...goodness...

I'm sure by now yall want some kind of definition as to what exactly an angry black woman is...Here is my definition...A woman, who's black, that stays popping out the mouth, gets angry at every single thing, especially when things having to deal with race, and would rather spend the time frowning and pouting than smiling...Goodness...This is not the type of woman I'm triyng to have in my life at all...Imagine having to deal with that speciman all the time...shit...

If I'm basically describing you then you need some help...real talk...It doesn't make sense for you to be so damn mad all the time..Peep a situation...It's fake but I'm sure this is what the black woman would say:

Me: Hey wassup. How are you doing? Did you cut your hair over break?

ABW: NO! I just took my braids out. So you're saying you liked it longer.

Me: Nah I was just...

So much confusion, so much anger...Just chill out...Here are some quick guidelines for you if you're an angry black woman...First, think about what you're gonna say before you say it...Don't just go out and say it..Even go to a corner, talk in third person and first person with yourself and see how that convo will go..Make a wise decision after that...Secondly, breathe...Before you want to get angry and explode, just breathe...that's it...Third, be rational, which means whatever you think is rational, then the opposite of that is REALLY the rational thought..haha...
