Renee Harper, Immediate Past Chair of the National Finance Committee of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc, will discuss ways in which college students can save, budget, and build their credit. We are hoping students will leave this event equipped with the knowledge to gain financial fortitude.

We hope this event will encourage more young people to take control over their mental and physical health.

TAKING SOME L'S (ARTICLE)

Hello everyone...I hope everyone had a great weekend because I definitely did...kind of...First off let me say that I threw a party along with my RA and my man Seun at BC and it was kind of a big deal...I'm talking about we made an event on Wednesday on Facebook, I invited all my friends, friends invited other friends and word got out that BC was the place to be...I had a great time...People came from colleges that I never even heard of (Fisher) in Boston...BU was representing, Harvard, MIT, Tufts, and maybe more...Am I tooting my own horn? No...I was just happy to be part of something cool...ya dig?

Okay now for the article and I decided to write about this because even though I had a big W for that party, at the end of the weekend, I definitely took a lot of L's...A LOT OF L's....Now for those who are not with the lingo of the 2K's (hahah) W stands for a Win and L stands for a Loss...I will try my best to explain how I took some L's this weekend and describe some other situations where you don't even know you took a L until it's too late....

So my first L was literally on the basketball court...I played ball on Friday and I always go expecting mad people to be there but in the beginning there weren't any so I just practiced...But we got into some games...I took a L right away...It was sort of a warm up game and some of the people on the team looked like they just picked up playing basketball not too long ago so I didn't really care for it...So I waited until the next game to finish so I could get right back in there...Got two W's with the new team and then I was set to play my final game against a refreshed team that was ready to end our little two game streak...We went back and forth...forth and back...Game was 15 and the score was 13-13...We had the ball off a steal....fast break...I'm ready for the pass so I could just lay that joint in...but...TURNOVER...Now I know we all do this...I stopped playing...took a play off because I thought they would go for a layup...But nope...Somehow we defended the fast break well and one man was open at the top of the key for a three...It was my man...He had already burned me for like 7 points already...hahah...And he shot the ball with perfect form and swished that muthafucka right in...FUCK!!! I was so pissed, and upset at myself...I left the gym in a hurry to take care of the party stuff...hahaha...

So now let's head to the second L of the night...at the party there were girls that I had never seen before...I'm talking about sexy girls too...I was pretty excited, get to know at least one of them right? Wrong!! These girls from Fisher were ready to party, ready for war...One of them asked me "So where do you fuck if you have a roommate?" HAHA...Now if she's asking those questions when I first met her then I don't know what else to think...I clearly wasn't getting the message at all...I was tipsy, close to being drunk at the time...151 flowing though my veins...I don't even remember any of their names, and I can't even go on facebook and try to friend them...I'll wait for one of them to friend me if it even happens but oh well...That's another L right there...The fact that I could have met some new people and not take advantage of it...Not in a sexual way either you freaks!!

My third L hits real home to me (I'm going to play some songs off my slow jams mix to get me all sad and shit) I think everyone knows by now that I have some major crushes out there...Read that article by clicking HERE. But 1 crush that I invited didn't come because she was busy at school...I understand that, but I haven't seen her in long time...Oh well...I guess I have to wait...But I invited my future wifey (By future wifey I mean that I want to make this girl my wifey one day...now...later...I don't care if it's for two days or one...Just the thought is great) along with her friends, our friends...I was mad happy that she was coming along with the rest of them...I don't see them all the time, I love them, I show them love all the time...Now if you don't know how I get around future wifey then let it be known that I'm a little punk, I'm afraid to express anything, I'm afraid to make moves, I'm not the regular iGoon (If I Had My Way-Bobby V on iTunes now) I'm not the person you see everyday...I really don't how she feels about me, but I feel like I take a L every time I see her because I'm stuck feeling the same way all the time...Some people say to let her know how I feel, been there done that...Some say to leave it alone...Can't leave a crush alone like that...Goodness..This is a major L guys so help me out over here...



At this point I should be done taking L's but I'm not...hahaha...We had a big game yesterday against V-Tech, we won...And campus was dead...Everyone was asking me what the move was and I couldn't help them out...To avoid this I went to my friend's room to watch Transformers...(Wassup Patricia, wassup Maria) It was a funny movie when I was watching it but I fell asleep on the couch, started to snore (I only snore when I'm not sleeping comfortably) and then they woke me up at around 2:00...And of course you know when you wake up and stand there confused as to why you're in someone else's room..hahaha...You don't even have to be drunk...Just one of those joints where I'm confuzzled and shit...I dapped them up, went to my room, and went right to sleep...A wasted Saturday night...No cuddling, it was cold as shit...It's still cold right now...

But I'm sure yall took some L's too...You tried to make that late night text to that bust it baby but didn't realize that she was someone else's bust it baby first...hahaha...In the middle of talking to a fine ass chick and her boyfriend comes out of no where, strong arms you and asks, "Who's this little chump?"
