Okay this article is about the phrase "homies over hoes." The male version is the same as the girl version..I think..Let's just agree with that right now and then we can talk about that later...So if you are new to this lingo then you are probably asking what the hell does homies over hoes mean...Does it mean that a hoe is under a homie? Is it sexual? Nope...All it means is that during a situation where your homes/friends are chillin and then a girl comes through and tries to take you away from the male bonding then your boys will probably give you a look like "Son, don't you dare try to put that hoe before your homie." Now we're not saying she's a hoe at all...So females please don't get offended...We might not even say hoe...It's more like "Yo are you really going with that girl when all your boys are here?!" And the answer to those questions are what I want to address...
Now I'm all about chillin with my boys...It can range from video games, sports, television shows, eating, all that stuff...But on some real stuff why can't I just be like "Yeah I'm going with Sherene." (Yes Sherene your name was put on the blog so just let it be...haha) And of course I'm going to leave my boys if Annika comes knocking on the door wanting to chill... (another shout out...that's 3 for one article) Like...I don't want to be chillin with dudes all the time...I'd rather have a fine dime next to me then a big black dude next to me...hahaha...
I'm just saying it's all about jealousy or the fact that you're going to miss your friend...Let's keep it real...Take this situation where I might be seeing a girl constantly, my boys don't know where I am most of the time, she becomes wifey...In the beginning stages of this relationships my boys are going to make it hard for me...pause...They will always question as to why do I have to go to her room to chill, why can't she come here...Why can't I go to the party....all that stuff that you used to do with your boys and now you have to make decisions as to who gets the priority because a girl is involved...It's all about making both sides feel like they're content with everything...Jealousy occurs because your boys now feel like they have to compete with this "new chick" for your time and it's not cool...They might give the girl a hard time because they see them as competition...It's true...I get jealous when I see my dudes with their girls and I can't chill with them...Or haven't seen them in a minute...PUT THAT HOE UNDER ME!!!!
I don't know how to really explain what happens in my mind when these situations happen but it all depends on the girl and the homies...Most of the times I might want to chill with this "girl" over the guys because she's a sexy girl, dime, chill, all that stuff...The best way to get your boys to stop using the homies over hoes comments is to have her chill with the fellas..I think that's the best thing ever because the homies can experience what kind of girl is taking their homie away and the girl can experience the fellas (If you're a girl and you can't chill with the homies then keep that shit moving in the other direction...not my way)
Most of the times homies will give another homie shit for leaving the group for the girl but then encourage him to "get it in" or "do good work." So that leaves the homie in a good position...But what the hell happens with girls...Girls stick together a lot and some times that chicks over dicks stuff kills me!!! For example, I might want to holla at Caroline (wzup) and all her girls are there but none of the chicks will leave her alone to talk...One girl is there to make sure Caroline's bra is not showing, another girl is there to check in every 2 minutes, and the last girl is just the third wheel...Come on now...I'm sure Caroline wants to spend some time with me alone and be with her "dick." Goodness...It seems like girls never want to trust the dude and always jump to conclusions...
But at the same time I've seen girls down for the movement for their chick...I've been a lucky victim of that...It was actually crazy...I was down at Wellesley my freshman year, my hair was in twists so I was feeling hyped, I got in the party and just chilled before I started to make moves and dance...A girl came up to me, very decent looking girl, and she says "Hey. I'm about to leave the party but I wanted to kiss you before I left."HAHAHA...I was single at the time so I said YZR!!! Chicks standing by...She got her "dick" and left with her chicks...And yea I know it was pretty risky just kissing a random girl but I'm good now, right?
