NAS & THE LEAK!

For most rappers, when their album leaks it's almost the end of the world...For Lil' Wayne it wasn't a problem (1.5 million copies to the day, courtesy of soundscan) Jay Z got hurt a little (still platinum) and Kanye stood on high ground as his album went double platinum...I really think the leak does the album justice because then word gets around that it's hot or a flop and then sales are booming...but that's for the minority of rappers and artists who already have a hold on the industry..But I've never seen a response to a leak like this:

Hmmm...I think I would agree with him if I was just a great rapper like him...Maybe the greatest rapper alive too...I flip flop between him and Jay-Z but I think since Nas had "Ether" I have to side with him...also Nas isn't afraid to say what is on his mind...until people started hating on Bush, Jay decided to put that shit in a song and now he spends most of the concert saying "Fuck Bush." It's all good...I won't hate because it's a good thing that these artists do...But his album got leaked, probably won't have sales like Kanye or Wayne, which is a shame because it will most likely be the best album of the year and another classic...Just for some classic stuff I mind as well put up this ether:

Okay its fine for that man to call himself the best rapper alive right now..(jay z is chuckling right now) But what the H-E- double hockey sticks is this man trying to do with this video...I was very excited to see what he was going to bring to the table, maybe even get a nice little perspective of the track that no one else noticed..but he didnt!! Did he really just leave the Warriors? Did he really just verbally agree to play for the clippers? What in the hell is going on in the sports world? This shit makes me upset because I see that players are really in this for the money...There is no reason for Baron to leave his team right now. They are everyone's favorite underdog since the Dallas series a few years ago...Remember that shit?!! PRETTY BOY BAM BAM

Now this is straight up wild right now..wild in a good way...sort of...Bam Bam is a 6 year old boy who is training to be the best boxer in the world some day..I wish nothing for the best for this little boy...At first I was skeptical about someone this young training this hard but when you think about the guidance and effort he puts into this rather than other negative stuff, it seems pretty cool...For example, the first clip shows him in the training gym going hard...



WoW!! Those punches sound too hard for me right now. He has to be a smart kid to remember all those punch combinations...Now your probably thinking that he does not have a childhood..I thought the same thing until I saw this ESPN clip...



ESPN did a good job showing the other side that we normally don't see. He loves to rap, loves to dance, still into spongebob, and has his dad by his side watching his every move. I'm loving it already. It's only 10 hours a week, 2 hours a day. I don't think its excessive, because on the weekends he's definitely chilling on the weekend, eating boogers, all that type of stuff. And its spiritual rap...can't get any cuter than that...although that dance moves just needs a little bit of work...hahaha...but he'll just bust me in my mouth so its whatever...But this last clip is incredible, a shout out from Lil' Wayne:

Well I'm all about introducing people to new artists, new stuff, just new everything...So here we have my man Wax. He is a rapper. I was wondering on youtube (tubing) and just looking up freestyles from random people...On one of the comments I saw a link to go to watch one of his clips. I was impressed. It was an entry for a Vibe contest that he should have won but he didn't. This dude is from B-More, lives in Cali, and we need to blow him up...I put people on him a long time ago on facebook, put some of my roomates on, and put my girl Natasha on (Although she tried to claim him like she found him...aint that some shit) But anyways, I actually bought his compact disc, called "Grizzly Season," and I really like it. I have been in contact with him so maybe I can get an interview or something to let you know I'm official. But here are some clips:

Well what else am I supposed to call it....oh well...I don't know about yall but I am really happy to hear Michael Jackson on a song right now...We all know he's a legend and I'm tired of hearing all this negative stuff about him (nose, child molester, is he white, is he black) That is not important to me (although I wouldn't leave my kids in his mansion) but the man makes great music...He teamed up with Akon to make this track "Hold My Hand." SEXY GIRL AND HER UGLY FRIEND(S) (ARTICLE)

OH BOY!! IM ABOUT TO GO IN…or like my man Moe a.ka. Kardi says, “I WANT IN.” I think all guys have been in this situation…Let me change that…every single guy has been in this situation…what situation is the goon talking about?! (that’s what you should be thinking right now, go ahead…say it in your head..aite…good) The situation: it’s a chill night, anywhere…lets say my dorm room at Boston College…I invite one of my girls to the crib to just chill, drink, dance, just have a good time…she’s feeling me, I’m feeling her…so it’s all good. But I have 7 other roommates so I say bring your girls, it should be a good time and everyone will have fun. So she says “Yeah that sounds good” I mean I’m set, she’s set. So I tell my roommates that my friend is bringing friends. At first they’re not excited at all; the game is on, video games are being played…so I open that facebook to show them my pretty/sexy friend that’s coming in like two hours…OH BOY…it’s grind time…that means the showers are running, the outfits start being assembled (we’re not going anywhere though, just staying in the room) They think that since my homie looks sexy then the friends should look great too. Right? Wrong!!

A few hours later my phone rings. “Hey im at your door” Why didn’t they just knock? Too good to knock huh. Oh well, I let them in and it’s not a pretty sight. There’s my girl leading the pack of course, hugs here and there for the rest of the ladies. Let’s say that there are 5 other girls. So that’s 8 dudes and 6 girls. But out of the 6 girls, there are 3 ugly ones. Each pretty girl brought their own ugly duckling that missed the blooming season. This is the situation that every guy gets into: THE SEXY GIRL’S UGLY FRIEND!! I just trembled thinking about it. This girl doesn’t fit into the equation…it just doesn’t make sense at the moment. My boys are now in a predicament. Introductions take place, drinks get sent around to make everyone just a bit loose. Of course everyone wants to talk to the 2 pretty girls available and leave the ducklings by themselves. But there are 7 other guys so that’s gonna be hard. Someone has to take the L…Not one, but like 5 other dudes…More drinks get sent around…the ducklings have drank more than the rest, the hood vernaculars start coming out the mouth “OH Shit, this is MY SONG!!” The 5 other guys must now decide whether to holla at the ducklings or just let them be with their drunkenness. What are they to do?

I’m not going to go any further because it can go in so many ways. But why do pretty girls always have ducklings? I mean, it just doesn’t make sense. Usually you should have someone that compliments your own features so bring a pretty girl…I know I sound mean right now, but everyone thinks this so be easy Weezy. With my dudes, I know if girls consider them cute, ugly, wack, or whatever (A real man shouldn't have to say no homo-Jadakiss). I know who to bring when I need someone for that double date. I know who else is coming when there are more girls. I feel like the pretty girls either want all the attention to themselves or maybe opposites attract like that. At my school I see some of these groupings going on. Picture it like this: There’s a roadway and the light turns red, you stop your car, and the ducks usually cross the street. Well with these ducks, the leader is a Swan, and the rest of the pack is filled with ducklings (ugly girls)

Those little ducks are ugly. Look I do not want to hear that we are beautiful inside because like the comedian Johnny Mack said “Then turn that shit inside out.” I don’t want to hear that it’s your best friend so you have to bring them along. Just to let yall know the deal I have my friends look out for me when they say “Nah you don’t want to meet that friend, or nah, she’s not good looking.” And when I say pretty girls can run in packs, it’s probably the best thing ever. Recently I went to celebrate two individual birthdays at this club and everyone was sexy. All the friends were cute, pretty, and just cool peoples. Not one ugly duckling. I cherished the moment. If you didn't know, theres something called the Glastonbury Festival that is held in England every year. This place sells out to to almost 200, 000 people. That's a lot of people. To be honest I never heard of it until there was all the drama about there being a hip hop headliner for one of the days (yea its a like a three day party, US goes soft) The headliner is of course Jay Z and I think he deserves it. He really is trying to become more than BIG and Tupac. I mean yes they are probably the greatest rappers ever but Jay Z is part of it because of his longevity in the game right now. We don't know where Tupac and BIG would be right now and how many records they would be selling and all that stuff...Not many people talk about it but we didn't really experience their greatness. But other than that, Jay Z opened and came on the stage singing a song by Oasis called "Wonderfall." Never heard of it but when I saw it on youtube it had 11 million views. I guess I am out of the loop. These rock bands get their money and stay silent...(Maybe I should start a rockband?!!)
